Tessera Mind company

Building AI That Works for People

We started Tessera Mind because we noticed too many AI projects end up unused. Our goal is to change that — one organization at a time.

Our Story

About Tessera Mind

Tessera Mind was founded in Bangkok in 2019 by a small group of data scientists and engineers who had spent years watching AI projects fail — not because the technology was bad, but because nobody asked the right questions about how it would actually be used. Too often, sophisticated models were built, delivered, and then left to gather digital dust because they didn't fit the daily workflows of the people who were supposed to use them.

We wanted to do things differently. From our first engagement — a text classification project for a Thai logistics company — we committed to a process that starts with understanding the people and systems already in place. Only then do we design the technology. It's a slower approach, but it leads to tools that people genuinely rely on.

Today, our team works with organizations across manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and education in Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region. We've stayed deliberately small, which lets us be selective about our projects and give each client the depth of attention they deserve.

Our name, "Tessera," references the small tiles that make up a mosaic. Each piece is simple on its own, but together they create something meaningful. That's how we think about data and AI — individual components, carefully placed, forming a coherent picture.

Our People

The Team

NK

Nattapong Kaewsai

Founder & Lead Data Scientist

With over a decade in machine learning research and applied NLP, Nattapong guides the technical direction of every engagement and ensures quality at every stage.

SR

Siriporn Rattanaphan

Computer Vision Engineer

Siriporn specializes in practical vision systems for industrial environments. She previously developed inspection systems for automotive manufacturing in Thailand.

AT

Anan Thongprasert

Data Strategy Consultant

Anan brings a business-first lens to data initiatives. His background in IT management helps bridge the gap between technical possibilities and organizational readiness.

Our Standards

Quality & Professional Standards

Data Privacy Compliance

We follow Thailand's PDPA guidelines and apply industry-standard data handling protocols. Client data is isolated, encrypted at rest, and never shared externally.

Reproducible Research Practices

Every model we build comes with versioned code, documented training data, and logged experiments — so you can trace how each decision was made.

Structured Project Methodology

We use a phased approach — discovery, development, testing, deployment, handover — with checkpoints at each stage so you're never in the dark about progress.

Knowledge Transfer Commitment

We don't believe in creating dependencies. Our deliverables always include training sessions and documentation so your team can manage the solution independently.

Performance Monitoring

Every deployed model includes monitoring recommendations so you can track accuracy over time and know when retraining might be needed.

Industry Membership

Tessera Mind is a member of the Thailand AI Association and regularly participates in knowledge-sharing events across the Bangkok tech community.

Our Values and Approach

At Tessera Mind, we believe that the best AI work happens when technology is treated as a tool, not a goal. Our team brings deep technical ability in natural language processing, image recognition, and data architecture — but the skill we value most is the ability to listen carefully to what a client actually needs before writing a single line of code.

We work primarily with mid-sized organizations in Thailand that have real data challenges but may not have a dedicated AI team in-house. For these clients, we serve as a practical extension — handling the technical complexity while making sure every deliverable is something their own people can understand, maintain, and build upon.

Our team keeps up with advancements in the field through active participation in research communities, conference attendance, and internal study groups. But we're careful about applying new methods only when they offer a tangible advantage over simpler approaches. Not every problem needs a large language model, and we'll tell you that honestly.

Bangkok is our home, and the Thai market is where we do our most meaningful work. We understand the local regulatory landscape, the language-specific challenges that off-the-shelf tools struggle with, and the business customs that shape how technology gets adopted in Thai organizations. That local knowledge is part of what makes our engagements succeed.
